RSD were sub contracted by Grange Quarry Ltd in 2017 to supply cement bound granular material(CBGM) and pavement quality concrete for the phase 2 works at Carlisle airport.
The job involved supplying 6000m3 of CBGM as a binder course for the new runway and 6000m3 of pavement quality concrete for runway taxiways and drainage aprons. The work was carried out within the requirements of the project specification which was derived from MOD Spec 33 Pavement Quality Concrete For Airfields and MOD Spec 51 Cement Bound Granular Material For Airfields.
Work took place over 7 months from November 2017 to May 2018
