We attended our first Dumfries Agricultural Show on Saturday 6th August, and it did not disappoint! This was the first show since 2019 due to COVID.
We began setting up on the Thursday when our new Liebherr machines were delivered. On the Friday the team arrived on site at 1pm and began setting up. We had the two Liebherr’s, a Mixer and a Tipper to position! If you know the size of these vehicles, you’ll appreciate the skill it took to position these in the perfect place! Well done George 😉
It was an early start for us on the Saturday morning with us arriving at 8am to make all the final touches and trying to source some ice (I think everyone was doing a mad dash to Tesco!!) The show gates opened at 9am and it wasn’t long before our stand was busy. It was fantastic to see everyone, old and new customers. The weather was on our side that day. Although there were a few dull spells it didn’t deter people from popping by!
Before we knew it, it was 5pm… It could have been possibly one of the quickest shows ever! From start to finish we were flat out. If there is one thing for sure, Grange Quarry knows how to host 😉
