Hagshaw Windfarm Project

Since operational in 1995, the Hagshaw Hill wind farm has evolved significantly; following the construction of 20 new turbines in 2008, the original 26 turbines are currently being repowered. With the decommissioning of the old turbines, a new setup of 14 advanced turbines with superior generating capacity is set to replace them, enhancing the site’s overall energy efficiency and production potential.

Grange’s successful project completion, involving the pouring of 14 turbines each base calculating 680m3 between June and October 2024, highlights the effectiveness of site batching in minimising transportation-related carbon emissions. By strategically placing batching plants near the turbine locations, the team not only enhanced operational efficiency but also contributed to achieving sustainable construction practices and reducing overall traffic in the area. Well done to everyone involved in this significant achievement!
