RSD Concrete was founded to provide a flexible service to those looking for affordable on-site concrete batching solutions. RSD Concrete has recently been acquired by Grange Quarry and has a small team of highly experienced, highly motivated staff. RSD Concrete runs alongside Grange Quarry in supplying a high-quality product and service.
Our Plants
Our plants have a footprint of just 16m x 22m. Available space of just 25m x 60m provides us with enough space to site a plant and enough ground storage to produce 500m3 of concrete per day. Site plants also have the benefit of using site trucks which do not require tachographic records. We do recommend where using site mixer trucks that the drums are maintained to a high standard. 3rd Party Accreditation
RSD retain dedicated and permanent Technical and QA backup. We have many years experience in supplying 3rd party accredited concrete. We can make all the necessary arrangements to have any site plant 3rd party accredited by BSI. Tickets are then stamped with the Kitemark symbol demonstrating full compliance with BS8500 Part 2 in all respects.
The process involves calibration of the plant, monitoring of results, internal auditing, monitoring of many technical aspects including:
- Water Cement Ratio
- Material Tolerances
- Material Physical and Chemical Properties
- Sampling Conformity
- Internal Auditing

Equally, RSD can supply concrete without 3rd party accreditation if you do not require it, our policy in this case is to put in place the most vital aspects of 3rd party monitoring to ensure that your product will meet the requirements of BS8500 anyway.

Our mobile plants are current top standard in the industry, we operate only state of the art Alkon batching systems and twin shaft mounted mixers. This assures clients of a consistent quality product from load to load.
Admixtures
We work with only the highest quality admixtures in the industry to suit the needs of any given contract. Equally we are adaptable where a contractor has a preferred admixture supplier for given application.
Quality Assurance
Where 3rd party accreditation on site is required we can supply this as Kitemark through BSI. Equally we can supply non 3rd party accredited concrete where requested.
Carbon Footprint
Our site plants reduce overall traffic movements thus improving the overall carbon footprint.
Versatility
We can supply concrete at short notice, our plants can normally be located to site within 24 to 48 hours throughout the UK and ready to batch initial or trial concrete within a day of arriving on site. We are familiar with carrying out dayshifts, nightshifts, 24hr concrete eg slipform.
Vehicles
If you require site vehicles whether they be truck mixers or tippers we can source these for you where required on site. Note; Often we can supply site concrete by tipper rather than truck mixer as our plant produced concrete is thoroughly mixed at point of batch. Equally we are familiar with supplying pavement quality extruded concrete via paver.
Technical Support
We can provide technical support manufacturing cubes at the required rate as part of the service. We can also assist in the procurement and trial mixing of appropriate aggregates for any given project through our industry contacts, often this can be done at short notice.
Relationships
RSD services are professional and based on relationships built over many years in the industry. We regularly sub-contract accross the UK with Grange Quarry Ltd, work with both major corporations and smaller customers (both receive identical attention when engaging our services). We retain permanent relationships with admixture suppliers and dedicated technical and quality assurance consultants.These relationships create a pool of resources which make us much more reactive to your needs than other mobile concrete suppliers. We are fully independent and not tied to any corporate agreements, so we can react to your requirements immediately.

Capacity
We can produce up to 60m3 per hour of even the most complex of concrete mixes per plant.
